Gelato @ il Gelato di Bruno
We stopped by this place at the City-Link mall (next to Hershey's) for some gelato. It was pretty good! We took 2 scoops on the waffle thingy. =P

Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee @ Fountain Food Terrace, Suntec City Mall
This was eaten at the Suntec City Mall in Singapore. We actually stumbled upon it - was looking for something simple and cheap(er) to eat before we head back to M'sia and i decided to eat something distinctly Singaporean (or so they claimed).
It was actually surprisingly pretty good!

Bacon Cheeseburger @ Botak Jones, Singapore
I was told to try out this place when down in S'pore - Botak Jones. Apparently, very nice burgers but at food court prices. Why? The joints are located at food courts!!!!
Yup, no aircond. But it was alright. Here is the burger i had - bacon cheeseburger:-

The fork there is just to give you an idea how big it was.
The verdict? Nice. Not great but nice. Check out their menu and outlets here at their website.

Duck confit at Le Petite
The last time i was down at Singapore, me mate Yu Jin (and his missus) took me out for dinner. They took me to this place called La Petite Cuisine. French food!
I opted for the Duck Confit - after seeking approvals from Mr and Mrs Cheah. I like the Duck Confit pasta at Delicious (that's another post for another day!) so i decided to try the original Duck Confit!
It was good!
Besides the duck being very nice and tasty, the potato thingy that came as the side was pretty good too!
The address for the place is #01-05, Serene Centre, 10, Jalan Serene, Singapore 258748.

Deep fried Mars Bar @ Chippy, Raffles City shopping centre
This has to be the ULTIMATE comfort food!!!!
Super unhealthy? Four small pieces of Mars Bar - choc with caremel inside, deep fried! Crunchy on the outside, soft and gooey on the inside! Top it with vanilla ice cream AND chocolate syrup!

Baby back pork ribs @ Tony Romas
One of the places i had to eat at when in S'pore recently was Tony Romas. Now some may ask why go there when we have so many TR outlets here in M'sia, the prices being cheaper compared to the higher exchange rate across the causeway.
The reason is simple - PORK!
The local TR outlets do not serve pork! And TR is famous for its pork ribs. I love pork ribs. I love pork! The best pork ribs i've had was at some restaurant at near the border of Austria and Germany at Fusen. It was huge, tender and so delicous! But i digress.
So off i went to the TR at Suntec City. I was early to beat the dinner crowd and also, i had a concert to go to after dinner.
No hessitation - i went for the Original Baby Back Ribs. I went for the smallest portion - so that the hole burnt in me wallet is just as small!
It came with jacket potatoes and corn. The jacket potatoes were wonderful! It must be the bacon bits! It's exactly like how the jacket potatoes taste like in the UK. Lovely! The corn was really juicy and sweet. I left it to the end so it was almost like a dessert.
OK - the ribs. It was good! The portion was small compared to the one i had in Germany. The meat was tendr and came off the bone easily. The sauce was a little on the sweet side but there wasn't too much of it to overpower the ribs.
It was a satisfying meal! I topped it off with a cup of coffee.
The service was pretty good too - nice sweet waitresses. Only complaint? They stole S$0.50 from me!!!! After paying the bill, they brought back the bill wallet with my change and i left it there until i was ready to go. I opened it and found only the bill! No change!!!! Oh well...

Cirspy Jumbo Combo @ Cafe' Cartel, Singapore
We were starving after the run and just wanted to stuff our faces.
WS and i remembered that Cafe' Cartel (yes, the "Cafe'" is written that way) serves free flow bread!!! So off we went, to the branch at Raffles City.
Upon perusing the menu, i suggested the Crispy Combo which was meant for 3 people. Then i looked below it on the menu and saw that they also had a Crispy Jumbo Combo for 5 people!!!! Yes, we had that! The 3 of us.
Here it is - it was amusing as the girl at the next table could not stop staring at it when it came. And she kept on throwing glances at our table!
It consisted of fried chicken, fish fillet, rodeo wings, mixed vege, wedges. It was also suppose to have prawn dippers but they ran out and replaced it with calamari (i found a 'lost' scallop in the midst of the calamari!).
The fried chicken was really good. Skin was crispy but not too much flour. Meat was juicy and tasty. Huge portion. Boneless. Went really well with the BBQ sauce.
The calamari was alrite. The wedges - well, they weren't our priority. The vege was quite miserable - just the baby carrots and a few pieces of cucumber.
Very satisfying! less than RM40 per person.
The rodeo wings were nice - i love wings so it was hard to get it wrong.
The fish fillet was pretty good too! The fish was fresh and the batter again not too thick.

Pork Ribs noodles @ Toa Payoh, Singapore
The place is a kopitiam opposite Trellis Towers at Toa Payoh. Our mate told us we could get our breakfast there.
I ordered the prok ribs noodles from the prawn mee stall.
It doesn't look much but it was pretty good. It used the prawn based soup which was tasty - much better than the prawn mee soup from Tan Kee.
The ribs were boiled to perfection - at least, to my liking. It was juicy and tender and came off the bone easily. Finished off everything including the soup! :-P~

Duck noodles @ Imperial Treasure Restaurant, S'pore
I blogged previously about having dim sum at this place (see here).
We were pretty hungry when we got there as we did not have breakfast. WS decided to get something more substantial in addition to the dim sum and ordered the roast duck noodles.
It looked good and he confirmed that the taste corresponded to its looks.

Dim sum @ Imperial Treasure Restaurant, Singapore
Kit had to make reservations as it was a Saturday. When we arrived, we were given a table but was told that we can only have it for the one hour that we had reserved for. Well, that was a good sign, i guess. Lots of people wanting to eat here.
'Here' is on the 5th floor of Ngee Ann City along Orchard Road.

On to the dum sum. We had the standard har kao and siew mai.
The har kao was simply lovely! The prawns in them were so fresh and crunchy.
The siew mai maintained the standard set by the har kao. WS jokingly complained that it had too much prawns in them!
We also ordered the woo kok - deep fried yam puffs. The yam was superb! My only minor complain was than there were enuf filling in them for my liking. But the wonderful yam made up for it.
I insisted on the following deep fried prawn dim sums.
Finally, to fill up, i had the lotus leave rice. It was great! So tasty. The mixture of the taste was so good - from the lotus leaf to the rice to the prawn and pork and other stuffs in it.
