There is this place in Ipoh famous for selling dong sui. But when we were there, i oso tried out the beef noodles (stall no. 47).
It was quite good - but i found the beef balls to be nothing extraordinary but too expensive!

Seafood croissant sandwich @ Délifrance, Tropicana City Mall
We both used to love the sandwiches at Délifrance. After all, the croissants are lovely and the filling is generous. We were glad that it was still as good when we tried it out again recently.

Japanese buffet @ Maui, Damansara Perdana
We went there in July to celebrate a fren's birthday. For the price - around RM40 per person, it was so worth it!
It was an ala carte buffet - meaning we had to order what we wanted. The wait could be a pain so order a lot in one go and keep on ordering if you do not want long pauses.
The food was good. Pretty authentic and it had most of what you want in a Japanese meal!
Look at the pics below and see the range of food they have:-

Italian BMT @ Subway
OK. After the unhealthy previous post, here is a healthier alternative.
I love Subway. And now, they have the Ramadan set deal which is a 6 inch sandwich, a drink and a cookie for just a little less than RM10.
You can see all the vege - i usually take all the vege. And i usually also go for the honey mustard and sweet onion sauce when i have the BMT. And yes, the bread - parmesan oregano!
Apparently, BMT stands for "Biggest, Meatiest, Tastiest". In Malaysia, it comes with beef pepperoni, salami and chicken slice.

Samurai burger meal @ McDonald's
I always loved the Samurai burger - got all excited when i heard that it's coming back! Altho the Minions have stolen the lime light these days, to me the highlight is still the Samurai burger! Still tastes as good!
It came with criss-cut fries. Tasty, yes but a bit too expensive!

Shanghai Fried Noodles @ Esquire Kitchen
I normally eat rice or the tung po pork when i go to the Esquire Kitchen. There was one time when i decided to try something else. The wife recommended this.
This taste better than it looks -you can see a strand of burnt noodle. But it tastes really good.

Roast pork @ The Hungry Hog
This was our starter when we ate there the first time. Pricey but pretty good. Look at the layers of fat and meat! And yes, the skin is crispy!!!

Mushroom chicken mushroom burger @ TGI Friday's
The wife had this. It was not too bad - she said. I ate some of the fries - nice - and took the bun too which was quite light and a bit crunchy on the bottom.
But halfway thru the burger, she noted that the chicken wasn't cooked fully!!! It was returned and they offered to make a new one for us. Since she was already halfway thru it, we opted to have a desert instead.

Fried lotus root & minced pork cake served with rice @ Chatterbox Cafe
My wife's favourite when we go to this place! I like it very much too - only small complaint is that the dish is a tad bit dry. If it came with soup or with some sauce/gravy, it would be perfect!

Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta @ TGI Friday's
I had this the other day and i really liked it! It was creamy and a hint of spiciness together with tender pieces of chicken and shrimps. Satisfying!

Lam Yee Mee @ Lameeya
It's so good! With huge fresh prawns, chicken and pork meatballs. I prefer this over the more original Lam Mee as the noodles for that is too thick for me. The yee mee here is pretty good - and i am a fan of yee mee anyways!

Fried rice with prawns and pork @ Ding Tai Fung
The wife wanted some fried rice so we went to ESG as i remembered having fried rice there with Jonathan previously.
It was good! And substantial. I was duly impressed. She was satisfied.

Yong tau foo @ Lorong Peel Yong Tau Foo, PJ branch
We came across this place accidentally as we were going to section 14 from Sungai Way. The actual name may be a bit different. The address is along Jalan SS9A/14.
It was actually not bad. The filings were quite substantial!

Curry laksa @ Ipoh
I can't remember the name of the place we had this - but the laksa at Ipoh is generally like this - very unlike the type we in the Klang Valley are used to, with creamy coconut milk in the soup. The curry laksa at Ipoh is more on the sour side. The plus points is that it normally comes with lots of meat - roast pork, char siew, chicken and prawns.
Just a word of caution - make sure when you order, you emphasise on the "curry". In Ipoh, "Laksa" usually means "Assam laksa".

Pizza and Pasta @ Michaelangelo's, Ipoh
It's Chinese New Year! An excuse to commit gluttony???
Well, gluttony is never good! Still, when we go back to Ipoh, there is always an abundance of food to eat!
Yeah, even when most of the Chinese restaurants are closed!
We opted for Italian one nite:-
